The following are guidelines for residential waste removal. Scroll down to the middle of the page for information about accounts, vacations, etc. Our instructions are designed to provide you with the best service, in addition to providing safe and sanitary conditions for our workers and your neighbors. Thank you for following the guidelines with your trash disposal.

CURBSIDE TOTERS

All commodities fit into the toters mentioned below:

Place your trash in your BROWN or GRAY toter.

Place your yard waste in your GREEN toter.

Place your recycling in your BLUE toter.

Please note the above designations.  Garbage from a single yard waste or recycling toter can contaminate an entire load and divert several tons of material into the landfill.  Please keep your recycling and yard waste clean!

Our weight restrictions for all commodities are as follows:

  • 24 Gal. Toter  -  50 lbs.
  • 48 Gal. Toter  -  100 lbs.
  • 64 Gal. Toter  -  130 lbs.
  • 96 Gal. Toter  -  200 lbs.

TIMES & CLEARANCES
  • All garbage, recycling and yard waste containers must be at the curb by 6 a.m. for pickup.
  • Please maintain 3 feet of clearance around all carts or Toters, at least 5 feet from vehicles, and 18 feet of overhead clearance.

EXTRA BAGS & MATERIALS

  • All waste services REQUIRE the use of our toters for regular service. A bag may be used for an occasional extra when tagged as described below. Toters are available for pickup or delivery from our office.
  • All extra above your normal amount of garbage cans and yard waste must be TAGGED or it will not be picked up. These tags must be filled out completely and attached to the extra. This will insure proper billing to your account for the extra. If you need tags, you may either pick them at our office or call and we will send you some. (You may substitute index cards or something similar with your name, address, and account number printed plainly with ballpoint pen until you receive the tags.)
  • Occasional extra waste material, which can be readily loaded by hand and is placed on or beside your regular service of garbage or yard waste toter, will be taken and charged as an extra, subject to stated size and weight limits: 30 pounds limit for boxes/bags and 45 pounds for cans. The volume must not exceed 32 gallons. Bundles must not exceed 3 feet in length. Yard waste extras are charged the garbage rate unless the customer is signed up for the yard waste service.

YARD WASTE
  • Yard waste is picked up every-other week, on the same schedule as recycling, and on the same day of the week as your regular garbage service.
  • Yard waste and recycling must be out at the curb by 6 a.m. on your pickup day. If you should be missed, you must call that day or the day after to report it. If the missed can is due to no fault of the collector, additional charge will be assessed to your account for the return trip. Please, no rocks, dirt, or sod in your toter.
  • All yard waste must be in your yard waste toter. The wheels make them easy to move around the yard and out to the street on pickup day. We offer the choice of the standard 96 gallon, or the 64 gallon, for those who prefer a smaller size. If you need more than one just let us know. Additional Yard Waste Toters are now available at an additional charge.
  • Please observe the Yard Waste Toter weight limits. You are limited to 130 lbs. for the smaller Toter (64 gallon) or 200 lbs. for the larger Toter (96 gallon). Overweight Toters may not be picked up.
  • Acceptable materials: Yard waste is defined as vegetative materials including: grass clippings, leaves, brush, limbs, vegetable or flower garden debris, weeds, etc. Limbs and roots must be smaller than 4" in diameter and fit within the Toter with the lid closed.
  • We cannot accept: Pizza boxes, stumps, demolition wood, rocks, concrete, dirt, beauty bark, sod, glass, plastics, metal, food scraps or residue, manure or "kitty litter" in Yard Waste Toters. Please call us for options if you have these materials to dispose.
  • Christmas Trees are accepted in the Yard Waste toters, provided that they are free of flocking, tinsel, decorations and stands. Please cut your tree into manageable sizes so it fits properly in the toter.  We will not accept trees left alongside your toter.  If your tree contains any of the above mentioned contaminants, please cut your tree into 3 foot sections, and attach an extra garbage tag on EACH section and place next to your garbage toter for pickup.

HOLIDAYS
  • Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's day are the ONLY holidays that we do not operate normal collection services. During these weeks, your scheduled pickup will occur one day later after the holiday.  For example, during Thanksgiving week, we will not pick up on Thursday.  On Friday, we will operate on Thursday's schedule.  On Saturday, we will operate on Friday's schedule.  This will apply for the rest of the week following the holiday..
